Welcome to Restaurante Sabinar, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Calatañazor, Soria, a charming village that seems to whisper stories of its historical past as you stroll its cobblestone streets. Located at C. Real, 39, this cozy eatery stands out not just for its prime location near the castle but also for its warm and inviting atmosphere. As you step inside, you are met with a quaint dining space, limited to just four tables and a small bar, fostering a sense of intimacy that enhances your dining experience.
Patrons rave about the exceptional service at Restaurante Sabinar. Guests like Mandy Wong highlight the friendly demeanor of the staff and the owner-chef, who speaks English fluently, ensuring that even those unfamiliar with Spanish cuisine feel welcomed. The service is described as both fast and accommodating, with the staff going above and beyond to fit you in for a delightful meal, even without a reservation.
The true stars of the show here are the dishes. Many reviews sing the praises of the menú para dos personas, a shared tasting experience that offers a delightful assortment of flavors. Highlights include the succulent pork cheekmushrooms and torrijas that have left a lasting impression on diners, showcasing the chef's talent in marrying traditional flavors with contemporary flair. As Ashley Duncan pointed out, the combination of flavors and the quality of the preparations are nothing short of delicious.
However, it's worth noting that while the menu offers a delectable range of meat dishes, options for vegans are limited, which is an aspect to consider for those with dietary restrictions. The ambiance is further enhanced by outdoor seating in an internal garden, allowing you to enjoy your meal in a serene setting, enveloped by nature as the day's worries dissipate.
In summary, Restaurante Sabinar offers a rich dining experience that celebrates the flavors of Spanish cuisine. Its strategic location, coupled with attentive service and carefully crafted dishes, makes it a must-visit when exploring Calatañazor. Whether you are a local or a traveler passing through, indulging in a meal here promises to be a delightful adventure for your taste buds.

We had the menú para dos personas. It was delicious (the mushrooms, pork cheek with potatoes, and torrijas were highlights) and the service was fast and friendly. They allow dogs inside

Friendly service and excellent food! The owner-chef speaks English and is warm, kind, friendly and patient. We were staying next door at LaCalata and this was a great convenient place to eat. The restaurant has outdoor seating (internal garden), and staff promptly set us up with a table, squeezing us in for a late lunch, despite us not having a reservation. The pork cheek with creamy mashed potatoes was particularly excellent. Thanks again! Highly recommended!
